Requirements For Abstracts

Papers with a minimum length of 10 pages must be submitted by September 27, 2026, to the email address: aistis.conference@gmail.com with the subject line: “Publication. AISTDS 2026 Conference”.

The structure and content requirements of the paper must comply with the EASE Guidelines (European Association of Science Editors) for authors and translators of scientific articles to be published in English (APA 7th Ed. style: https://www.grafiati.com/en/info/apa-7/) and the provisions of the National Standard of Ukraine DSTU 7152:2020 (Publications. Formatting of publications in journals and collections).

2. REQUIREMENTS FOR FIGURES

2.1. Working with Scanned Images

Preparation of scanned images in graphic editors (e.g., Adobe Photoshop):

  • Scan images at a resolution of 300–600 dpi (dots per inch); this option is configured directly in the scan dialogue window.
  • Remove all text elements from inside the scanned image.
  • “Clean up” (touch up) the figure — remove background noise, artifacts, dust, dots, or unnecessary streaks.
  • Save the finalized image in the following formats:
    • *.jpg – for black and white printing.
    • *.tiff –  for color printing.

2.2. Images from the Internet

Images from the Internet must meet the quality requirements for high-quality print reproduction (image resolution must be at least 300 dpi). Such images are typically found on specialized websites (stock photo banks). Images can only be used in strict compliance with copyright regulations (appropriate citations and copyright credits must be provided). Images that do not comply with the above requirements must be replaced or removed from the submission.

3. FORMULAS

Formulas must be inserted into the text using the formula editors MathType 6.0 or Microsoft Equation.

3.3. Character Formatting in Mathematical Formulas (Standard Requirements):

Latin letters used as symbols for physical quantities must be formatted in italics, while Greek letters must be in upright (roman) font. However, certain variables and notations must always be written in upright Latin font. These include, in particular:

  • Similarity numbers (dimensionless quantities): e.g., Bi (Biot), Ku (Kirpichev), Pe (Péclet), Re (Reynolds), etc.
  • Trigonometric, hyperbolic, inverse trigonometric, and inverse hyperbolic functions.
  • Temperature scales: Kelvin (K), degrees Celsius (оС), Fahrenheit (оF) or Réaumur (оR).
  • Standard mathematical abbreviations: for maximum and minimum (max, min), optimal value (opt), constants (const, idem), limits (lim), and logarithms to any base (lg, ln, log), etc.
  • Chemical elements and compounds.

3. REFERENCES

According to the decision of the University’s Coordinating Center for the Publication of Scientific Periodicals (https://sciencejournals.knu.ua/pro-nas/koordynatsiynyy-tsentr) and the recommendations of the European Association of Science Editors (EASE), the list of references must be formatted in compliance with the APA 7th Ed. citation style (https://www.grafiati.com/en/info/apa-7/).

Sources in the reference list are not numbered and must be arranged in alphabetical order. For each source, the DOI must be provided (if available).

In papers written IN ENGLISH, only ONE list of references (References) is provided. In this list, bibliographic descriptions of sources originally published in non-Roman scripts (e.g., Cyrillic, Arabic, Chinese, etc.) must be translated into English. The original language of the source must be specified at the end of the bibliographic entry in square brackets (e.g., [in Ukrainian], [in Chinese], etc.), followed by the original bibliographic description in its source language, also enclosed in square brackets. For example:

4. IN-TEXT CITATION FORMAT

In-text citations must be enclosed in parentheses and include the following details:

  • The author’s surname (for single-author works) or the first few words of the title (for works with no credited authors), followed by a comma, the year of publication, and, if applicable, a comma and page numbers after the abbreviation “p.” (for a single page) or “pp.” (for a page range). The title can be shortened, with omitted words indicated by an ellipsis (“…”):

  • The surname of the first co-author only followed by the abbreviation “et al.” and the year of publication (if the work has more than three authors):

  • The author’s surname and initials, followed by the year of publication (if the paper references works by different authors with the same surname published in the same year):

  • The author’s surname, the publication year of the first work, and the publication year of the subsequent work (if the paper references multiple works by the same author published in different years; the author’s surname is not duplicated):

  • The author’s surname, the publication year, and a lowercase Latin letter immediately following the year (if the paper references multiple works by the same author published in the same year):

(Gibson, 2005a; 2005b; 2005c);

  • The number or title of the specific section of an electronic or unpaginated source (e.g., volume, part, chapter, etc.), separated by a comma after the publication year, if pages are not numbered:

(Brown, 2017, vol. 2).

Multiple sources cited simultaneously must be separated by a semicolon and arranged in alphabetical order by the first letter of the author’s surname (or the title of the work for publications with no credited author). For example:

(Freeberg, 2019; Grady et al., 2019).

Requirements for the Quality of References:

  • The majority of the cited sources must be reputable publications from the last 5–7 years.
  • At least 30% of the reference list must consist of articles published in high-ranking journals indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science databases.
  • Self-citation must not exceed 15% of the total number of cited sources.

Важливий нюанс: українські книжки та матеріали конференцій (М. Женченко, А. К.
